In order to play DBEO you must have the program Byond installed on your computer.

Getting Byond
Go to Byond and download the latest verion from thier downloads page.
Please check thier tutorials to get familiar with it, we assume you have basic knowledge of how it works.

New Character/Continue
If you've played before you can select continue to continue from your last game, if this option does not appear you have not played on the server.

Name Select
Here you select the name you wish to go by during gameplay.
The name you select can be a maximum of 25 characters.
Please select a suitable name for the game.
You cannot have html in your name.
Players with offensive names will be deleted.

Race Select
Here you can select the race you wish to play the game as.
The races are Saiyan, Namekian, Earthling, and Icer.
Each race has its pros and cons, see the Races page for more info on each race.
Once you have selected a race you cannot select another unless you restart your character.

Now What?
Now you will be at the start house, around to the right is a teleporter, use it to get to the newbie area.
Now you should go visit a gym, just so you know where it is, in the gym are healing tubs, use them if you are wounded.
Now you should go an train by fighting the small green Mini Dinos in this area.
The rest is up to you...

In DBEO you can select from one of the four races available, here is a more detailed explnation of each race.

Saiyan
Saiyan originate from the planet Vegeta. They are renowned as a strong and brutal warrior race.
Pros
Can get quite powerful with the right training.
Chance of getting a small powerboost when near death.
Have the ability to go Super Saiyan.

Cons
Cannot teach or learn techniques from other players.
Cannot develop thier own techniques.

Super Saiyan
This is the powerful transformation the Saiyans undergo, it is very difficult to achieve. You first must learn the secrets before attempting to transform.
It is very difficult to get so dont think you'll be getting in with 5 minutes training.
We suggest you get it as a bonus instead of devoting your time to getting it...

Near Death Boost
When a saiyan is near death and is healed instantly, there is a chance it will boost his strength.
Beware this is difficult to get and you are likely to be killed, use it by chance or you'll be sorry...

Nameks
The Nameks come from the planet Namek, they are somewhat of a peaceful race.
They are skilled ki users, therfore can develop techniques better than others
Thier anatomy resemble that of a lizard, they are able to regenerate and stretch thier limbs over distances.
Pros
They begin with the ability to sense others and hide thier power.
They heal a little faster than other races.
They can develop the best techniques.
Can learn and teach techniques to other players.
Ability to reach Super Namekian.
Cons
Gain power a little slower than Saiyans.
Thier Super is not as powerful as Saiyans.

Super Namekian
Like all other supers Super Namek is hard to get, it will boost your powerlevel a lot when used.

Human / Earthling
Humans are a basic race, they are pretty average in all.
Pros
Can be made into powerful androids.
Can develop skills, but not quite as good as nameks.
Can teach and learn skills from other players.
Start with the ability to sense others and hide thier power.
Cons
Weaker than most.

Android
Humans can be made into androids....you must find out how to do this yourself...
Androids are much stronger than humans, so it is classed as thier super form.

Icers
Not a lot is known about this race, they are very powerful, however.
Pros
Can use super speed without losing power.
Can develop techniques as well as humans.
They begin stronger and more skilled than other races.
Can transform into different stages to increase thier power.
Cons
Although they start stronger then will find it hard to contine to get stronger later.
Transformations are hard to achieve.

Transformations
As Icers get stronger they gain the ability to transform. These transformations boost the users level a lot more than thier previous forms.

Movement
To move your player around the world, simply use the Arrow Keys.

Attacking
Just Equip a technique and double click what you want to attack. For more information see the Battle/Fighting section.

Look
Too look at a player, just click them once.

In DBEO there are a few shops around, here is information that will help with shopping.

Getting Money
Before you can shop you need money, of course, in short, you need to sell items that enemies drop.

Basics
Talk to a salesman a menu will pop up.
BUY
SELL
NEVERMIND
Select BUY if you want to buy something, look down for selling, nevermind will cancel all transactions.

Buying
After selecting BUY from the menu, a new menu will come up.
This will have all the items the shop sells.
Read down for info on each item.
Once you select an item to buy, another box will pop up asking how many of that item you wish to buy.
Then you will be asked if you are sure you want to buy them.

Selling
After selecting SELL from the menu, a new menu will come up.
The contents of your inventory will be shown, select the item you wish to sell, then confirm your sale.

Basic Items
Training Suit - $50
Its weight helps you to train.

Senzu Bean - $500
When eaten, restores your health to full.

Combat Suit - $100
Its lightweight helps you to fight.

Earth Scouter - $100
Reads the powerlevels of yourself and others.

Ninja Suit - $1000
Helps you to fight better.

Warrior's Balm - $75
Increases powerlevel and skill, however there are side effects.....

A main part of DBEO is combat. Here you will find info on fighting others.

Basics
To attack something you first must have a technique equiped, to do this open your techniques tab and click on the technique you wish to equip.
Now to attack simply Double Click on the target, you will now begin to attack it constantly until either:
You are knocked out
Your opponent is knocked out or killed
You stop attacking

While attacking you will chase your opponent.
To stop attacking Double Click on yourself.

While you are attacking the word "Attack!" will appear in your text window, you can turn this on and off by clicking the 'Attack Toggle' GUI Button.

These are the basics of fighting, however there are a few exceptions.

Kamikaze
The point of the attack is to sacrifice the users life in order to cause major damage.
To use it, click on the attack "Kamikaze" in your techs tab, you will be asked if you wish to use it.

Techniques can be learnt in several ways:
-From Trainers
-From Masters
-Developed
-Taught by other players

Trainers
Touch a trainer to speak to them, if you are at the required skill level you can learn the technique they have to teach.
You cannot have learnt from another trainer at that belt level to learn another.
Example: If you spoke to the Dragon Dojo at white belt and learnt a technique, you cannot go and learn another technique from another Dojo at white belt.
Choose your trainers wisely...

Masters
Masters only have one or two techniques to learn, so they are not the same as trainers, to learn from a Master you must be at the required belt level or higher for them to teach you thier techniques.

Developed
Only Nameks, Humans and Icers can develop thier own techniques.
Click the Develop Button on the GUI, then select the technique you want to develop and press 'Ok'.
Developing a technique will improve it, and delete the old technique.
You need to be at least green belt to begin developing techniques.

Taught by other Players
Other players can teach you teachniques, it is advised you dont beg other players to give you techniques or ask over world talk, people get very annoyed and are likely to hunt you down....

Training is an important part of DBEO, so read on.

Basics
There are several ways to train.
-Gravity
-Hunting
-Sparing
Gravity: This refers to going into a gravity room and attacking the punching bags, this is good for raising your powerlevel fast.
However, it can become expensive.

Hunting: Finding and attacking enemies such as Mini Dinos,Dinos, and Dragons and fighting them provides a good workout and financial gain.
The downside is the animals are merciless and will kill you given the chance.

Sparing: Probebly the best way of training, find a partner and fight each other, but not to the death.

Tips
Wearing certain clothes will help your progress while training, but will also make it harder to fight.
Don't stray too far from the gyms if you are weak.
Heal if you're getting low on energy.
Don't overdo yourself, death doesnt help your training.
